About

Axis Bank initiated a strategic project to create a unified digital hub for its Savings Account customers. The platform was designed to be hyper-personalized, catering to six distinct account segments (e.g., Burgundy, Prestige) and ten diverse user personas (e.g., Doctors, Rural Mass).


The goal was to transform the transactional banking relationship into an active loyalty ecosystem that drove customer acquisition, maximized long-term engagement, and streamlined reward redemption.

Styles

A cohesive style system that strengthens brand trust through consistent colour, typography, and imagery. The result: an elegant, approachable interface that communicates reliability and elevates user perception.

Challenges

Designing a unified yet flexible loyalty experience came with layers of complexity—spanning segmentation, engagement, and measurable business impact.

Hyper-Segmentation Complexity


The core challenge was building a single platform that could simultaneously manage and serve highly differentiated experiences across six account segments and ten user personas.

Driving Active Engagement


The team needed to transform the passive banking relationship into an active, high-frequency engagement cycle, which was crucial for promoting the program's full value.

Strategic Revenue Alignment


The design had to directly link loyalty features, such as personalized offers and rewards, to measurable business outcomes like boosting account openings and driving cross-selling efforts.

Bridging Awareness to Redemption


The project required the design of a seamless customer experience across six critical stages (Awareness to Post-Redemption), ensuring zero friction throughout the loyalty journey.

Persona-Driven CX Flow & Identity Mapping


Architected a continuous six-stage journey initiated by automatic persona identification (via login data, account type, and geolocation) to ensure instant content relevance.

Strategic Gamification Integration


Embedded interactive features like the Fortune Wheel and Financial Quizzes directly into the Discovery section, providing a low-friction hook to drive daily visits and reward financial literacy.

Unified, Differentiated UI/UX


Designed a modular system with distinct visual styles—premium for top tiers, simplified for rural users—to clearly express segment exclusivity.

Frictionless, Multi-Channel Redemption


Designed a fluid redemption process supporting both seamless online coupon application and secure offline QR/alphanumeric code display to eliminate user friction at the point of sale.

Modular, Zero-Friction Onboarding


Developed a streamlined, secure registration and login flow, setting the expectation of efficiency and trustworthiness from the very first interaction.

Closing the Post-Redemption Feedback Loop


Integrated an incentivized feedback mechanism that offered bonus points for survey completion, creating a scalable system for continuous offer and experience optimization.
